The InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown Hotel is located in the Wilshire Grand building, standing 73 stories tall in the core of Downtown's historic, entertainment, financial, arts, and sports districts. Ideally placed at the heart of the revitalized, energy-charged urban center of the United States' second-largest city, the hotel provides first-class hospitality that seamlessly intertwines with the fabric of the burgeoning Downtown area. **Your Day to Day** Stock and maintain adequate beverage supplies to assist the Bartender in serving guests in a prompt and satisfactory manner while following luxury and fine dining standards and sequence of service. _Duties and Responsibilities_ + Stock bar area with liquor, beer, wine, non-alcoholic drinks, ice, and supplies by following established procedures. Replenish as needed throughout shift. + Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. + May set-up and replenish appetizer or "happy hour" buffet, if applicable. + Clean beverage equipment, glasses, and service areas; assist in clearing tables and cleaning work areas. + Assist Bartender in the preparation of garnishes and mixes. + Perform other duties as assigned. They are not intended to be ALL responsibilities or qualifications of the job. **What We Need From You** Basic reading, writing and math skills and 1 year of previous food and beverage experience in a fine dining or luxury environment. High school diploma or equivalent. Prior food service experience preferred, especially in a fine dining or luxury setting. This job requires ability to perform the following: + Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds + Standing up and moving about the kitchen, outlet or other designated areas + Handling food, objects, products, chemicals, cleaning supplies and utensils + Bending, stooping, kneeling Other: + Communicating with other people, listening and following up on basic guest requests + Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency. + May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. **What We Offer** The hourly pay range for this role is $17.28 to $20.75. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Los Angeles, California. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
