We are currently seeking an entry level Electrical Engineer, with 2+ years of experience in Metairie, La. Prior experience with Arc Flash and Electrical System software are a plus.

About the Position

• Assist in developing electrical power distribution, protection, and related control systems
• Preparation of deliverables and documents including calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Assist in preparation of design packages for the engineering, procurement, and construction
• Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards/practices
• Working with other team members including clients and vendors

Required Skills/ Abilities

• Proficient in the use of Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
• Arc Flash and Electrical System software knowledge a plus
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S

Education and Experience

• 2+ years of electrical engineering experience preferred
• PE in electrical engineering a plus
• Medium voltage engineering design experience a plus
• Experience with motors, switchgear, transformers, MCC a plus

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
