Human Resources Analyst (Employee Relations)


SALARY


The minimum salary is $59,005.44 annually.
This position is not eligible for overtime (exempt); however, the city has a compensatory time leave program for employees that grants leave time for hours worked in excess of forty hours.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION


The purpose of this classification is the administration and consultation of Human Resources processes, programs, and policies in the areas including but not limited to employee & labor relations, training & development, benefits, and performance management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's   degree in a related field

  • Two (2) years of related experience

  • Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience

  • Additional years of related experience may substitute for years of education

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Works in collaboration with others to administer the employee mentorship program and to develop a centralized internship program for all LFUCG divisions

  • Administers personnel programs relative to training and development and employee relations investigations 

  • Advises and directs supervisors, managers, directors and commissioners on policies, procedures, new laws and/or ordinances

  • Assesses HR needs within training and development and employee relations

  • Conducts various investigations and research, analyzes data, or audits information relative to harassment, workplace violence, grievances, disciplinary appeals, reasonable accommodations, etc. and creates reports utilizing findings

  • Creates, conducts and tracks various training programs for a wide variety of audiences, including but not limited to new hire orientation, management training, professional development, mentorship programs according to policies, procedures, new laws and/or ordinances

  • Composes original reports, training and other written materials, using proper language, punctuation, grammar and style

  • Performs related work as assigned

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
