Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for coordination, financial health, and management of live events and studio productions. This means working alongside production disciplines to create budgets and timelines, review deliverables, and work with vendors to ensure that everything is completed to our high standards to make the best show possible. Project Managers sit in the middle of everything to ensure communication happens, deliverables are clearly defined, budgets are on target, and things get done.

Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the brain trust for project strategy, understanding and communicating project scope, budget, and deliverables to wider project teams to achieve program and client objectives.
  • Collaborate with our product and partnerships teams to develop project scope and budget with client input.
  • Act as a liaison between external and internal stakeholders; Identify risks, monitor potential scope creep, and work with internal teams to be proactive, discover, and convey relevant updates.
  • Drive day-to-day execution of project deliverables, including financial tracking and reporting, ensuring timely and quality production.
  • Create and manage project roadmaps, workback schedules, and task and milestone reports, and communicate project health to project, client, and leadership groups.
  • Lead and manage internal issue trackers, incident report creation, pre- and post-mortems, financial reconciliation, and general project management initiatives.
  • Plan and execute live events in various off-site event locations and our studios; Provide real-time on-site coordination of multiple departments and key stakeholders, including clients.
  • Partner with international teams on global project deliveries
  • Identify, implement, and maintain best practices related to project execution, financial tracking, stakeholder management, and communication

Role Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in studio and/or event productions of all shapes and sizes
  • 3+ years of proven experience in managing a project or initiatives from start to finish
  • 3+ years of experience building and managing budgets, including tracking budget health and reconciliation
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple departments and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with third-party partners and vendors
  • Deep knowledge of live event and studio production
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and evaluative skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with project management software (JIRA, monday.com, etc.) and best practices
  • Strong attention to detail

Desirable Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study
  • Project management certification or formal training
  • Passion for video games and interactive media
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in high-stress, time-sensitive environments
  • The desire for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
