As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.Required Qualifications:One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology TechnologistValid ARRT, or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulationsCurrent BLS certification (AHA/ARC)Preferred Qualifications:Current ACLS certificationValid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance within state regulationsPALS or ENPC certificationOther certifications or licenses may be required for this positionSummary:The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist assists physicians in performing minimally invasive procedures using advanced imaging technology. This role involves preparing patients and equipment, operating fluoroscopic and other imaging modalities, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. The IR Technologist works closely with the interventional radiologist and healthcare team to support complex vascular and non-vascular procedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.Essential Work Functions:Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safetyOperate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to guide proceduresAssist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile fieldMonitor and document patient vital signs and procedural detailsAdminister contrast media and monitoring for adverse reactionsEnsure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and selfMaintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring readiness for proceduresManage and restock procedural supplies, including catheters, guidewires, and contrast agentsCollaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to provide seamless patient careFollow all infection control, safety, and regulatory protocolsProvide patient education before, during, and after proceduresPerform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operationsAdhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standardsRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is requiredAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bendingInterpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
