As an usher, greeter or ticket taker, you help to ensure safety, help to maintain the cleanliness of the venue and engage with guests to assist with their needs before, during and after the show. Job Functions include greeting guests, scanning guest tickets upon entry, answering guest questions, assisting guests with locating their seats, examining tickets for entry to various seat levels, assisting with keeping the venue safe, clean and presentable, resolving guest complaints or problems, verifying ticket authenticity, providing assistance to guests with special needs, participating in venue recycling efforts, guiding guests to exits or providing other instructions in case of emergency, verifying staff credentials to restricted areas, partnering with crew members to close the venue, assisting patrons with directions, ensuring guests safely enjoy the show, and additional tasks as requested by management. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy, and physical requirements such as constant walking, climbing stairs, occasional sitting, lifting and carrying 25 lbs.+.
